FP#3

Revised Topic

 RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONE CONSERVATION
Making a riparian buffer zone prototype in my studio final project site:

By changing the width of the buffer, ecological benefits will change accordingly,
Outputs: (Buffer zone conservation effects)
Wildlife habitat & Plants types: Enhance species richness and habitat diversity
Water health: Protect water resources from nitrogen reduction, and sediment removal

SCHEDULE – draft 10/27

Sunday 10/27
FP#3&4 Due
FP Module 1: create a large scale river corridor model

Wednesday 10/30
Create plant (trees and grass) models for each zone

Sunday 11/03
(notes: the previous model was too large to run in GH. redo a site model)
Make a small patch of riparian zone model (trim from studio model, and then separate areas (bank and river) as different surfaces with riparian buffer zones on each side of the river

Wednesday 11/06
Make different types of plants interacted with a density gradient change to match the riparian buffer effect

Sunday 11/10
add annotation
creating scatter grass effect on the model

Wednesday 11/13
Add multi-type of plants (confiner, deciduous, big shrub, small shrub, grass) interact with the square surface

Sunday 11/17
add colors for plants; using GH to project all plants on-site and add interaction on buffer zone width changing

Monday 11/18
Finish part A: Wildlife habitat & Plants types diagrams

Wednesday 11/20
Extra attempt: Create a color belt to show river purification (grey to blue)

Sunday 11/24
work on creating diagrams to demonstrate the working process

Sunday 12/1
Export video draft

Wednesday 12/4
